Hey Lemon Tree - I've found you and subscribed!!

Can I ask what PA surveys are? Sorry for my ignorance but I'm new to the survey side of things....

    Thanks x
It's Prolific Academic, a survey site for universities etc so you don't end up with loads of spam.
Though I've just cashed out £5.72 I'm now back over £4 so not long til I should next be able to claim

I may have not updated for a couple of days but I've not been slacking.
Now upto 6/16 Nsd's and hoping should get another today.
Yesterday our pay increase was announced so I've calculated the back pay and net figures and updated accordingly. We're supposed to get the back pay this month but I won't count my chickens just yet.
Hm soup turns out to be OK but the split peas could have done with more time.
Biggest news is that the kitchen is essentially finished barring the unpacking of some boxes, I love it and though it's not perfect I think we've done a great job for amateurs.
I'm getting ready to also do some more decluttering at the weekend, got rid of stuff last weekend but it went yo my sister so no money changed hands, I'm hoping we can sell some stuff this weekend.
    How's everyone else doing?

I really don't know how people manage NSDs! I just always seem to have something crop up! Maybe that's a new goal I should set myself!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)

I don't do as well as some on nsd's for me it's breaking the habit of going out and getting lunch, popping to the shops, buying something for the house. For some it just means that people compact all their spending. I've had another one today so that's 716
  • I tried nsds when I first joined online but this was complete nsd ie not spending anything so had to work buying food and fuel all on same day as bills which I struggled with.

So now a nsd is a day where I don't buy extras - eg I'll pay for the bus to work as its needed and still call it a nsd but if I buy a Cuppa at lunch then it's not a nsd.

I do find it makes me think do I really need this.

Although I had 2 possible nsds turn I to spend days because I had to unexpectedly fix my car....

Gem, that's what I count as a nsd where budgeted items or essentials like fuel are OK but popping out for a sarni isn't

Sometimes I wonder how I kept myself motivated first time around. I'm only in my first month back really hitting things and I'm already wondering what's the point.
I've made over £25 on surveys and paid all the cashed out money off against the car loan (as it's the highest rate) but it feels like it will make so little difference in reality I do wonder why I'm doing it.
Sorry I'm the mid month stall I guess.
I need to concentrate on the fact that by working hard to not spend in the first place I'm setting us up for a better footing next month etc rather than that what I am doing isn't really visible in its effects.
    Anyway:
I have managed to sort a gift for a birthday party DD is attending soon for a fiver, I ordered a spare at the same time as she's of the age where often the whole class gets invited.
I need to pay the electricians bills which will result in the last bit of borrowing from savings accounts.
I also need to order the kids school photos and then get some printed for Christmas gifts. I must pull my finger out with this one.
Tomorrow I'm off to the big smoke with a friend to see a show and spend the day mooching, I must download some vouchers ready for wherever we decide we're going to eat, any money spent tomorrow will come from savings from sales I've made in cash.
