We're in Scotland. 5 siblings who are all executors in dad's will. 4 are in agreement to get things done asap but there's one who keeps asking stupit questions - the same ones over and over again. She says she has mental health issues so managed to get a solicitor 'to act in her best interest'. She's also signed the terms and conditions of our late dad's solicitor, along with the rest.
She's saying us 4 can't get a valuation done on our dad's house until Feb/March 2020. Can she do that when it's majority decision in Scotland? Do we really need to wait?

She can say anything she likes, but if it's majority decision, four is surely a majority...?Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
Yes Marcon, that's what it should be but the 'family solicitor' keeps letting this happen - letters going back and forth from this solicitor to solicitor 'acting in her interest', all the while the legal bill is stacking up. Tried to move firms but the new one said that they'd need all siblings to be in agreement but that's not the law in Scotland. So stuck in this hellhole.0

Sounds like it is time for a couple of formal complaints, one to the 'family solicitor' and one to the new solicitor.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
