They intend confiscating 10% of shares from every company employing >250. Of this share grab they have limited the dividend return to £500 per employee. The balance will be retained by central government. A purloining pf personal assets in the name of 'the people'.

Every person invested in UK shares would suffer a loss. I suspect that the sell-off of UK shares would be seen well in advance. The threat would be enough to see investors scurrying for assets not likely to be stolen by a UK government. I would definitely join the rats abandoning investment in the affected companies.

Yes, the Heath government. Heath was a weak leader but was up against trade unions made powerful by virtue of a decade of left-Labour policies and a few decades of post-war nationalisation.
