i know what happened from my friends side and i am merely trying to help him - i am not on either 'side' and tbh i am sorry i even posted on this site as nothing helpful
There has been helpful advice
yes they can speak to a named driver. I am a named driver on my wifes policy and we both have permission to speak with the insurer
I think the point people are making is how come you (as a friend ) have been able to ask for and receive phone recordings0 -
i have helped raise the DSAR, gone through paperwork, the details, made a timeline etc so he can hopefully deal with it. Nothing sinister or corrupt - i am actually trying to explain to my friend to try and understand the position of the insurance company as a business.
Merely a admin guru helping a useless with admin friend
eg. DSAR raised on his behalf in June 2019.. CDs/ transcripts arrived Sept 2019. I've listened to them. He hasn't even bothered to or call the insurance or HP company to explain claim still under investigation0 -

My friend has a outstanding claim where he is the policy owner and his ex wife is named driver on her car....the car has been stolen, he has reported it but she is a bit mental and has called many times and contradicted herself around the details of the claim (i have requested and received the call recordings)
Question is as she is NOT the policy holder should the company have even spoken to her at all?
So I guess she is the registered keeper?
Who is the main driver?
Who was driving/where was car when stolen?
Many things that will allow them to talk to her.
Never mind that some might think fronting is going on here as well.:rotfl:Life in the slow lane0
