Xiaomi Redmi A7 etc

Hi,
I'm considering buying either the Xiaomi Redmi 7A, Redmi 7, or Redmi note 7.

Interested if anyone owns either of these mobiles (or similar handsets) and what's the verdict?

was thinking the Redmi 7A may be underpowered for multiple broswer tabs with only 2GB RAM?

If you can afford it and are happy with the size, then the Note 7 looks to be far superior. I have the A2 Lite (32GB/3GB version) for comparison and find it fantastic. It's roughly just under the Redmi 7 spec wise.

  • My partner and I both have Note 7s and love them. We both have 4gb with the 128gb storage option. We chose them as our WileyFox tanks have finally ground to a halt with only managing about 4 hours battery life. As 12 hour shift workers you can see the problem! Currently get 2-3 days battery life out of a charge. My partner's favourite feature is the shiny 48mp camera. My friend has the 9T pro as his work phone, but that is a bit out of most people's budget!

A lot of the Xiaomi stock is currently on sale direct on their website (until the 8th) which put the top spec Note 7 at £200. Definitely punches above its weight for the price: the samsung galaxy S50 similar spec is £250, samsung galaxy A40 (only 64GB storage) £180, Oppo K1 and PocoPhone F1 at £300+

The only proviso I would give is if you do not buy direct from Xiaomi is that you need to make sure you get the "Global Version" to stop the pre-installed bloatware.
  • Are the Redmi phones sold on Amazon the global version?

thanks, that's useful info. I'm still wondering if anyone has tried the Redmi 7A? that's around £80, the Redmi 7 circa £125 and Note 7 jumps up to around £160.

If you go back to the gsmarena link I provided it should be obvious why the prices increase for each one. They're good prices BTW for any of them.
