Outrageous PCN - PayMyPcn

Hello all.

Thanks for this forum. It's great. I've read the newbie thread.

I recieved a PCN from PayMyPcn / CompleteParkingServices Ltd claiming a vehicle of which I'm the registered keeper parked on private land (under 20 minutes).

What actually happened is driver entered the road(private but open) of a popular waterfront location in my city, drove along the watrefront, saw the 'Residents Only Parking' signs, so after some discussion in the car the driver left the private land and parked on a public street down the road. Driver and occupants didn't exit the vehicle.

They want £100 reduced for £60 for this pleasure.

The APNR camera footage just shows the vehicle on the road, not parked up.

Here's my plan:

- Appeal the PCN, not list a named driver, using a MSE template.
- If the Appeal fails read but ignore the follow up letters. Figure out a valid defense.
- If necessary get some legal representation if it goes to small claims.

What do we think? Please can you guys help?

Thanks in advance:beer:
