I can recommend the HSBC MyMoney Children’s Bank Account. You get a debit card, can’t go overdrawn and it has a linked savings account paying 3% (up to £3k).

My children have Santander 123 mini accounts which they’ve had for a while (initially in trust under my control)
They’ve also just opened a nationwide flex one account each which as another poster points out has no fees on foreign transactions which is the main reason we opened one as my eldest recently had a school trip to France and it was a pain sending him with spending money in Euros0
