  • I emailed River Walk and got a response today:

    Good afternoon

I have passed to Parking Eye to get cancelled, all I needed were your reg details and reference number, it will take about two weeks we will let you know.

    Regards

Great, keep an eye on the ParkingEye web site for the cancellation.

Sounds promising. Send the requested information promptly and see what happens.
  • Does this mean it'll be definitely cancelled or do i still have to appeal to POPLA?

I did in my initial email...but it was a long email with some evidence pictures that's why he said they only needed reg number and ref number :)

When does your POPLA code expire? Personally I wouldn't miss a POPLA deadline as you don't have any guarantees.

  • Hi

This is my 1st post and hopefully not repeating all that goes before me.

I parked at my brother in laws a few months back, the parking bay across had only just been completed and had no signage on it. He assumed this mean't it was a visitor bay and ok to park. However, a week later i received a PCN with a £60 charge (payable in 14 days). I contested on the lack of signage but failed.

I've since gone through IAS but still had claim refused. The strength of my case was enhanced as UK CPM now have signage directly on the bay when this wasn't there at the time of the alleged offence. Personally I believe this highlights the firms obvious oversight.

Is it worth continuing my appeal, go through Popla or pay up??

    Thanks

    Ed

PS also should they have put verification number on it so that I can appeal via Popola or did they leave it off so i went to IAS??

It's worth reading the NEWBIE sticky and then, if you still have unanswered questions start your own thread, where you will receive bespoke responses rather than getting tangled up in someone else's issue.
  • Ok - Thanks apologise. As you see im new to this forum

The end of the 28 days will be 2nd December. I will keep an eye on PE website and if they didn’t cancel it before the deadline I’ll appeal. Thanks
