Sorry, I think I must have misread Durham as Dunelm!
On 4th October I parked in Riverwalk shopping Centre car park in Durham
COMPLAIN TO RIVERWALK. They probably have a website contact us button?

Go and film this evidence on your phone, the fact that the first machine is still broken now (if it is) an then the small hidden option on the 2nd machine:

I went today to take pictures of the broken machine but unfortunately it was fixed :( But i took pictures of the small hidden button for extra payment options and of the car park in general to show there was no signs/arrows at all to paying machines which makes drivers take even more time trying to locate the machine

Of course you should appeal, n[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]ine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider also complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work.

Should i reveal my identity and vehicle registration number to the MP and the land owner?

What are your concerns about doing so?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • I have no concerns at all. I’m just asking in terms of legality especially after reading that drivers details shouldn’t be disclosed to PCN. Is there any chance that MP would pass these information onto them? Or should I just use keepers details without confirming who was driving the vehicle? Thanks

No point complaining to an MP right now due to impending general election.

COMPLAIN TO RIVERWALK. Get it cancelled this week, should be easy.

That's exactly what you do, but perhaps use phrases like "we visited..." and "we received a Parking Charge Notice...".

But also keep in mind C-m's point:
No point complaining to an MP right now due to impending general election.
  • Thank you. I will complain to River Walk this week. Regarding the complaint, do i list all the grounds on the POPLA template letter or make it more simplified and short and only list grace periods, insufficient signs and broken machines?

None of the above. A complaint it not an appeal.

A complaint is you ranting about the scam and threatening never to return, and telling them how much your family WERE planning to spend at stores for Xmas...or whatever.
