I am looking for a new boiler and based on my own online research, I am planning to go for a Viessmann Vitodens 050-W boiler. The cheapest prices are being offered by this online company named heatable.co.uk.
I was wondering if anyone has used heatable.co.uk and if they are any good?
Online reviews are all spot-on, as are the TrustPilot reviews.
Has anyone here ever used their services? If so can you please share your experience. Thanks in advance.

Why do you want the 050 it is a cheap boiler & not particularly good ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.1 -

OP was asking for advice about the installer, not a discussion about their choice of boiler.0 -

How rude, he is a qualified installer, a discussion about choice of boiler is the very ethos of the site we all use, it may help the OP save MONEY down the lineNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

You are right. If anyone has anything to say either about the boiler or about the installer, I am interested in knowing.0 -

May I know why you say that please? Personal experience or anything you have come across?
The 050 is a "Best-Buy" on Which.com and I have read good reviews about it.
Also, if not the 050 then which one do you recommend please?0 -
In a roundabout way , I stumbled upon heatable a couple of weeks ago. In my case , I'm unfortunately on universal credit and could have had a boiler grant , but I wasn't on universal credit when the scheme was scrapped in 2017. I'm not sure if they're part of the gvt in any way but it got me wintering how I got directed to that website.
I looked at the website ,and heatable does look good .
They do sell boilers which are recommended by which magazine , where I think that the op has found the boiler they are interested in.
Southcoast knows the score tho .
I believe that Worcester and Baxi are probably the best boilers from looking on here and talking to various people etc.
Not cheap though .
Hope this helps ..0 -
EVerybody will tell you this boiler is better than that. That includes knowledgeable professionals, review sites, customers and of course Which? The general view is that most are good. Worcester Bosch are the most popular, the most well known and the most advertised. They are not the easiest to service but a lot of people have the experience so not really an issue. Viessmann are often cited as the best but people in the trade say Ideal and Vaillant are the best and easiest to work with. Some have a stainless steel heat exchanger which is better. The one the OP suggested would be fine as would any of the other makes mentioned. ANybody who claims otherwise needs to give substantiated back up as to why for the comment to be of any value.0

Also I'm sure heating engineers would never recommend a boiler that they know has an above average failure rate, because it would be wholly unethical to factor in potential extra profits from repair call outs.

My elderly mother's 12yr old combi boiler, was classed as 'beyond economical repair' by British Gas Service. A BG salesman came and gave a quote of just over £3500, for a replacement 25kW boiler and change of gas supply pipe from 15mm to 22mm.
I searched the net and ended up getting a guaranteed, fixed price quote, from Heatable for £1884. Same boiler plus free gas supply pipe upgrade, wireless thermostat, system flush, inhibitor etc., although I eventually opted for a different boiler with double the warranty period.
I couldn't understand how they could give a price without seeing the job. The gas supply pipe had to go from the front of the house to the back, under the floor. I thought that they would find a way out of the job, or increase the price, once they arrived.
Today, on the arranged date, the parts delivery driver arrived at 8am followed, a few minutes later by two engineers.
They looked at the job and got stuck in straight away and finished mid afternoon.
I don't think Heatable have their own engineers, I get the impression they are all sub contractors. The two that came today, Billy and unfortunately I can't remember his partner's name, were very pleasant, professional and tidy.
I am very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend them. Obviously not everyone will get the same two engineers, but hopefully Heatable's selection process will ensure good quality people.
I was told the certificate will be sent by post or email, from Heatable.
It's early days but, if I get any problems with the boiler, or I don't get the certificate, I will add an update.

Any update on the certificate.
I also come across Heatable for a Viseman 100 and wanting to know whether you got the certificate. Also how is the customer service, did you have to call for any support?
Lastly, is your first service due if so how much do they charge?0
