    Odd isn't it that when the September inflation figure was the lowest for some time they decide to use it to update benefits, and yet the SRP is to go up by 4%.

    3.9% I think, but the contrast with 1.7% is stark.

    The point I was trying to make is (based on his record of broken promises) a pre-election promise from BoJo is worthless.

    As far as I am aware the benefits freeze for some working age benefits was due to end in 2020 anyway. The benefits freeze was enshrined in legislation so any further freeze would have required further legislation.
