Waitrose Parking.

Good morning, my wife shops daily at Waitrose, by car.
Today she received a parking charge notice from Britannia Parking.
The two photographs show her car entering one day and exiting the next day. The car did not stay overnight.
She has done nothing so far, local people have advised that Waitrose manager is not interested in parking disputes.
Any advice on the course of action best to take will be gratefully received. TIA.

NEWBIES - HOW TO UPLOAD LINKS TO PHOTOS/SCANS TO MSE

To upload a photo/scan link, you first need to host it on a free photo hosting site (like Dropbox, Imurg or Tinypic), copy the URL, paste it here, but change the http to hxxp and we'll do the conversion. Newbies can't directly upload links to photos/scans until they've a few posts under their belt.

Oh ... and using a phone to browse the site can cause problems.. so please try a laptop/PC

Thanks for the reply. Wife is contacting store manager etc.
Should she still go ahead with the appeal? If yes can she leave out bits of the template that do not apply?

The two photographs show her car entering one day and exiting the next day. The car did not stay overnight.
Do the Head Office / CEO of Waitrose major complaint first as long as she doesn't time out her appeal (28 days). Point out that this ANPR PCN is a scam:
The two photographs show her car entering one day and exiting the next day. The car did not stay overnight.
Search the forum for DOUBLE DIP. saves us sooo much typing!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would speak to the manager.

I would also email their customer complaints.

The more people that complain the better.

Waitrose are having a difficult time at the moment and if they have any sense they will do something about customers being alienated by their parking arrangements.

Do not alter the template at all. You run the risk of messing up if you don't know what you are doing.

The keeper should complain to the store manager and/or the CEO, nobody lower than that.

If the PCN isn't cancelled before the appeal deadline then the keeper should appeal as already advised.
Complain to the DVLA that this was in fact two visits so the keeper's data was unlawfully obtained.

Complain to the keeper's MP, hinting that a vote for them (if they are up for re-election) will be dependant on their handling of this case.

Did you get that in writing?

It s not cancelled until the parking scammers say it is cancelled.

In addition, please make the complaints to the DVLA and your MP as requested. We need your help to get this stamped out and can't do it if these complaints are not made.
Your data has unlawfully been obtained. You could make a claim for a DPA/GDPR breach against them if you wish. The going rate is in the order of £500 for the claimant if they win, which does not require proof of loss, just proof that a data breach occurred.

Not in writing from manager, email followed by letter from Britannia parking.
Will complain as suggested, thanks again.

That's good enough. Keep that letter for 6 years, in case they decide to revive it for some reason.
