  • Although looking at the rates.....
My daughter is disabled so would I need to add the amount for that? And I’m a carer so do I need to add the amount for that too? If so then we wouldn’t meet the adequate maintenance

I’m afraid I don’t know the answer, immigration is a very specialist area.
You should include the child benefit as part of your income. You didn’t mention it in post #9.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • Although would I add the carers premium? I thought because I get carers allowance it wouldn’t be added?

As I said, I don’t know the answer, immigration is a specialist area. My instinct is that as your income through Universal Credit includes a carer element it would be reasonable to expect a carer premium to be included in the IS calculation - however that may not be the case. On the other hand I note the document refers to the figure C being “Income Support that would be received by a British family of equivalent size“ which to my mind is not necessarily the same as the amount of Income Support your particular family would receive.

I think you need some specialist advice.
