Birmingham Midshires DD error on CASS switch

CASS switch from BOS to Lloyds completed 29th Oct (Tuesday).
£1 regular payment DD for BM pulls on 5th of month.
For some unknown reason BM has taken a £1 payment from the Lloyds a/c 30th Oct (day after switch completed). It's showing as a credit in the BM a/c on 26th Oct (Saturday, during switch period!).
BM now has Lloyds as the linked a/c but with no regular payment set up. Easy to set this up again but I've no idea why BM took the £1 during the switch process.
Same situation for the wife's a/cs.

Virtually identical situation here. I had £10 DD from BoS to BM set up for 1st of month. Switched BoS account to Lloyds Club 21st Oct and BM took another £10 DD on 22nd:cool:.
I then checked on BM account and it said no regular payment set up, so I cancelled the existing £10 DD and set up a new regular one for £5 from 5th November.
Checked new Lloyds account and BM have taken another £10 today. I'm pretty sure they'll take the £5 on 5th as well.
I honestly don't know how they can consistently mess these DDs up, but its happened to me on a previous switch.
Don't think I have the energy for a complaint:(0 -

It is a DD the company (BM) who are they. Request/take the funds from your account.
Is a DD set up at Lloyds end?
Have they actually taken it from your old switched account?= and it's been transferred over?
Have you spoken to BM as to why they are taking funds from your account when no payment is showing as set up?Life in the slow lane0 -

I'm going to have a stab in the dark on this 1.
BM is Birmingham Midshires.0 -

BM is Birmingham Midshires.
Correct
Apologies. I had assumed OP had included full name in 1st post.born_again wrote: »It is a DD the company (BM) who are they. Request/take the funds from your account.

Birmingham Midshires
Correct payment taken from switcher account 1/10
Duplicate payment taken from new switchee account 22/10 - 1 day after switch
Multiple DDs bearing different BM refs appeared on new switchee account
BUT
Despite BM showing no regular monthly DD payment set up, they subsequently took one, after I had cancelled it! (though it is just possible that, at the speed BM work, this had cancellation had not been actioned)born_again wrote: »

No, because its happened before and as I said

Similarly, our Birmingham Midshires a/cs are saying no regular monthly DD deposits are set up but nonetheless the £1s have been taken from Lloyds today!!!
I had not made any amendments on the BM site and thought I'd leave it to see what happened. Fortunately I'd kept a couple of £ in both our Lloyds a/cs in case a situation like this arose.
It's quite a screwed up system that continues to take regular deposits whilst at the same time stating that none are set up.0 -

Absolutely.
BM have taken £5 from my new Lloyds Club today, which is correct. I'll have a look at my BM account tomorrow and see if I can fathom what they're likely to take next month:cool:0 -
Same has happened to us on several switches involving BM.
I'm not too worried though as we always switch credit balances of £50-100 to be on the safe side.
BM are not the only ones to mess up with CASS switches though. We've experienced a failure by PO Savings to take yesterday from a new Lloyds Club account which was switched from Santander, where it was working fine. If I recall correctly though, this has happened before because the Santander account was switched into from BoS, which in turn was switched in from somewhere else (can't remember where, I've done that many!).0 -

Oh dear
Problem is, as can be seen from clivep's & my experiences, its not easy (or even possible) to see what DDs BM thinks it should be taking:cool:0 -
