Has anyone else been charged £3 to receive a ‘premium’ text that never asked for or wanted?
I was alerted by ID mobile that I had reached my spending cap (luckily set to £3), when I enquired AS to how it turns out it was this message I received...
To get our short simple tasty cooking recipes and enjoy hassle free home cooking Visit ww.....recipefinder...etc
ID were not interested in refunding me, or helping to stop this scam happening again to me or anyone else. I fact they didn’t seem to believe that I hadn’t signed up to receive these expensive useless messages. I don’t even do the cooking in our house!!

The OP hasn't logged back in since the beginning of November, I doubt they are coming back.0

I've had this problem also. Mine is a 3-network account. I received unsollicited texts from recipefind in October, and rejected them. Three months later, found I'd been charged £3 per month by the network. Used their chatline to complain, and was told they could do nothing, I had to contact the scammers. Even gave me their e-mail adress (?!) The scammers replied, asking for my bank details to send a refund. Not prepared to do this nonsense, I went back on the chat with 3 Network and told them to refund the £9 or lose the contract. I insisted it was THEIR responsibility to fix this, NOT mine. I got the relentless run-around for what must have been 45 minutes, but refused all their efforts to refer me elsewhere. Suddenly, a new name appeared online, apologising and offering the £9 plus additional £11 compensation for the hassle! (This has now appeared on my bill.) Yet, this is disgraceful behaviour. These people are ruthless, and will only react if you threaten them.0

My 76 year old mother was charged €40 over 2 months and never subscribed to any service. 3 gave an email to contact. They replied and offered to refund 50% of the charges but I’m sure there will be the same request for bank details. Can you tell me if it was 3 that have you the refund in the end?0

Bank details aren't a top secret. The worst they can do is to set up an unauthorised DD (unlikely), that you can easily cancel with your bank and even get a refund if the money was taken.0

Redtom: Yes, 3-network credited my phone bill (finally) after I refused to deal with the scammers regarding bank details, etc. My argument was, and is, that this is the PHONE COMPANY'S responsibility to put right, THEY have allowed this security breach into my account and my money. Let them risk their bank info, not their customers.
You may wish to press them in this way, but be warned, they will stonewall you to death unless you are adamant.0
