    Do you have an older email from resolver? if so can you try following the link in that email? just to rule out the link in the new one being spoofed.
  • When he clicked on the link he could have downloaded software that would make sure any similar attempt would be rerouted to the spoof email address.

    Personally I'd wipe my hard drive.

    If your resolver password is the same as others you use, start changing them now.

    I have had an email in the past, saying this is my password and it's correct! I know what you have been looking at etc. All passwords changed now and I discovered several sites of where they could have obtained from:

    This is new information. Was the "Resolver" email sent to the email address you have registered for your complaint? If not then it was definitely not genuine.

    Just another thing....

    As well as an accurate log number, did it actually say your (real) name eg. Dear Mr. Penny or was it unnamed?
