    Agreed.

I don't like being blunt but sometimes that's what's required.

Blowing smoke up people's rear ends isn't helpful in my opinion.

    Other people's mileage may vary.
There is other alternatives to just dismissing the OP though.

True it wasn't mis sold but the OP's ex has done the dirty on her.

A small claims action on the EX would probably go in her favour to force the ex to contribute to this joint debt the loan was taking out for in the first place. Or perhaps even just pointing to here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24

For a new thread and let the experts on there guide her with her problem.

I can't help thinking the number of folks popping onto this forum is probably going to dry up. Whilst I can't fault the facts as stated, they have been delivered in a rather harsh and inflexible terms that is likely to put off the most accommodating OP.

Or you could take that view that in light of the direct answers OP has since realised it was not missold and has not needed to comment further.

How do we know if it was the ex that has done the dirty? It could be that the OP is the one that caused the relationship to end and the ex is feeling betrayed. We just don't know.

It may have been a joint debt that is covered but it may have been solely or majority built up by the OP. We lack information to make such comments and it doesn't matter. It has nothing to do with us and the responses didnt make any such judgements.
