PCN - not my car

Dear all,
I have received a PCN however i am not the owner of the vehicle nor was I driving the vehicle when the PCN was issued.
A contractor parked in my residential space when he was doing some work for me (on a rental property). I believe he got the ticket but refused to pay and asked me to pay which I agreed to. It seemed the easiest and more reasonable option given that our son was diagnosed with cancer and I couldn't take any more stress. At that time, the contractor sent me the PCN and I submitted an online appeal as I had given him authority to park in that residential bay however he wasn't displaying any permit. I presumed that logic would prevail.
I didn't hear anything for about 6 months and then I received a letter from Zenith Collections stating that they have obtained by home address from contact tracing?
I have trawled online to search for others in a similar situation but can't find a similar scenario.
Is anyone able to point me in any direction to help here? I haven't responded to any letter

This one will be amusing to defend in court, as you can't be liable, so do not pay.
Which PPC?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So I would email:
(a) Zenith aka DRP, using their reference on their letter (not the PCN no. when contacting them)
info@drpl.co.uk
and
(b) UKPC's Privacy Page contact email to tell their Data Protection Officer that your address is xxxxxxx xxxxxx, as traced by Zenith recently, and that they must rectify their data to show your new address for service, and erase the old address immediately.
And while they are about it, you need them to note that you were neither the driver nor the keeper of this car.
See what they come back with...I suspect the usual template letters will continue but to the right address.
At least you will have evidence later if they try a small claim to the right address, that you told them you were not the liable party. I suspect they will ignore the second bit about you not being the driver or keeper, and try a doomed claim and you will have an absolute defence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? @Coupon-Mad - thank you for taking the time to respond.
The address i am receiving the notices to is my correct residential address.
The address where the contractor did work on my rental property is a different address.
Given that I was not driving the vehicle nor am I the vehicle owner, in your experience, would they still consider legal proceedings? From my reading on this forum, they should contact the vehicle owner.0 -

UKPC do take motorists to court. If they don't get the money they have demanded they may well take you to court. They have your name and address so they will hound you.
Yes they should have contacted the keeper (not the owner), but they are greedy and don't care about correct procedures.
Do as C-m has advised and see what they do.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

I doubt if there are any. You have no contractual relationship with UKPC, nor do you have a liability under POFA. If they try to claim breach of contract against you they must surely fail imo.
They must know the details of the RK, and I am puzzled as to why they are dealing with you.
Landlords surely have a right to allow contractors/family/friends to park in their spaces without harassment.

To all those that contributed and read this post, thankyou. A quick update.
I did as Coupon Mad suggested and sent the email to Zenith - the next day I received a letter from SCS Law.
I then tried to call SCS Law hoping that explaining simply to another human that I am not the keeper of the vehicle which received the fine nor was I the driver would resolve this. However all i got was threatening behaviour from the person on the other end of the phone.
Trying to explain that receiving letters to my residential address demanding monies which is causing me stress went to deaf ears as expected.
I now plan to write to SCS Law to have all my details removed under the "right to erasure" and also highlight that I was not the driver nor am i the keeper of the vehicle. Should i consider anything else?
Thanks in advance0 -

All you can do is await a court claim. Anything you say or send to them will fall on deaf ears.0
