Anyone had any experience with we buy any car?. The trade in price for my car on auto trader is £2795 and we buy any car valuation is £3500. Now I know they will try and take a chunk from that. So looking to see peoples experience with them. Thanks

Ask yourself honestly is the car pristine?
No, then knock some off the price expectations.0 -
This spring I had them knock off 300 for a couple little chips on a car valued at £5500, i was expecting a bit of comeback because "thats what they do".
So if there's anything you can touch up without making a mess do it.
Having said that they paid what i thought was a fair price especially without the sheer aggravation and hassle of selling privately.0 -

Used them twice. No hassle, but they will go over the exterior with a fine toothcomb, with a hairline scratch costing you £100's. So long as you are aware of this, and make them aware on the website of anything obvious, you shouldn't be let down.
If you are let down, you can simply drive your car back home and do something else.
Funnily enough they seem very unconcerned about the interior or driving it. Both times they have simply started the car to look for any warning messages. That's it. It seems exterior is everything to them....the drive or the interior it seems they couldn't care less about.
It is what it is. You will likely get more elsehwere, but the process takes max of an hour and the car is off your hands. I'd use again.0 -
They insist on 6 months MOT and do charge an admin fee. Evans Halshaw don't. I sold my Nissan to Evans Halshaw for £4900 (£50 less than the online valuation) I Paid £6400 for it 2.5 years earlier They put it on the forecourt for £6500, more than it cost me and with 12'000 more miles on the clock ! The service was quick and easy. I had fully valeted and polished the car inside and out before taking it to them.0

Its funny, I had a good experience with EH two years ago selling a car, they offered me more than WBAC, and stuck to it, this time round they offered much less than WBAC did.alembicbassman wrote: »I had fully valeted and polished the car inside and out before taking it to them.0 -
They knocked £750 off an online valuation for me last month. If I'd had time I'd known then what I know now I'd have machine polished a couple of really minor paintwork blemishes. However I still got £250 more than trade in so can't complain too much.
Transaction itself was excellent but be prepared to wait for the cash if they do it by BACS or they'll charge for instant transfer.0 -

They don't. Last car I sold to them around 4 months ago had less than a month remaining. It's just reflected in the price.
WBAC's problem is people seem to see the online price, not having put any honest appraisal of damage to the car into the system - then when they get there, blame WBAC for lowering the price.
All I can suggest is really look at your car and really be honest with yourself if you are going to use WBAC. Only use it if you can't use the car as a trade in for any reason (not buying another etc) or you want to avoid the hassle of private buyers. But use it honestly. Make sure those stone chips are added when doing the valuation as they WILL be found, and price reduced accordingly if you haven't bothered to enter the damage yourself.1 -
I had my first ever experience of them a month ago. I did an online quote which came in at £5000. I didn't respond so they bumped it up to £5150. I went for my appointment and they immediately knocked off the £150 because it had 300 miles more than when I asked for the quote two weeks earlier.
The car was in very good condition, with uncurbed alloys, which surprised him. He went over it with a fine tooth comb and knocked it down to £4400 for scratches you could hardly see. I didn't have the parcel shelf and he agreed to hold the price for a few days to let me go and get it.
I went back a couple of days later, saw someone else, who never even looked at the car, simply checked my documents and signed off on the deal.
Both guys were cheerful, friendly and civil- explaining what was going on at each step of the way. They didn't miss much and I lost more than I expected, but still got £400 more than the dealer offered me for a trade-in.0 -

Their initial valuation is based on a minimum of 6 months MOT but if your vehicle has less then you can change it on the website:0
