BT Mobile Contract Renewal

I received a text from BT mobile to say that my contract was up for renewal.
I called them & was offered the same price as my last 12 month deal but with 3 times the data.
Good enough deal for me.
However during the phone call with BT I asked when my contract actually ended & was told December 30th.
The new contract I agreed to runs from today 25th October for 12 months.
Have I just been conned out of 2 months contract time ??

    Is this a serious question?

How can you have been 'conned out of' something that you've not paid for and are now getting 3 times the data at the same price?

Exactly. My BT Mobile 12 month min. term was ending 20th Nov.

I was actually offered a new contract via a message in my account, I have their phone and fibre too, informing of the impending term ending. I didn't even bother phoning them because the offer of £5/month for 1.5GB data, unlimited texts and minutes is fine for me. Therefore my minimum 12 months now ends next October and I pay £5/month starting immediately. As a result I've actually gained a small amount.

How did you get the £5 per month price ??
I have BT broadband & landline phone & get the £5 per month discount off my mobile phone bill so I am paying £7 per month.
