I agree with the other posts that suggested he does some research and join a LL group of some kind. Hopefully the OP will learn more about how to be a LL, what he needs to do, and how to protect his business.0 -

I am a student landlord.
I am a member of the RLA
I spent last night attending a Landlord forum at Manchester Student Homes where I am an accredited landlord.
There are over 150 regulations relating to renting.
Right to rent.
HMO licence
Fire safety, Electrical safety, gas certificate, tenancy deposit, parent guarantors. ETC
You need to provide a safe property that complies with all the regs0 -
