Hi all,
Got a parking charge for parking at the above location.
The reason for issuing the ticket was 'veichle owner/driver left site'. I will be using the blue font letter posted in the newbie section and will be appealing around day 26 by online/email.

    DELETE YOUR LAST SENTANCE!

Having read the NEWBIES you should know not to reveal the driver's identity!

Do this now before you do anything else. Parking scammers read this forum.

The Keeper appeals. The NEWBIES tells you how to sign it off.

The name and address of the keeper must be given. You are dealing with this as the keeper. The driver is not involved.

Was this a windscreen ticket, or a letter in the post?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

    Day 26 is around XXX.

You should know that UKPC are fraudsters and were banned by the DVLA (not now for the time being), for faking pictures

Owner/Driver left site is one of the silly claims that UKPC make and are probably stalkers and predators.

Very very difficult for them to prove. Wherever you were, you should advise the retailers of this predator action

They are a member of the BPA whose CEO was caught taking upskirt pictures at a London train station.
All part of the parking scam

Thanks. So appeal using the blue text initial appeal template from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 around day 26, following the method required by UKPC.

You could add a final paragraph to ask them for the photographic evidence of the person they allege left the site, as that may help you determine if they are anyone you recognise as an occupant of your vehicle, otherwise you are likely to be unable to help them (they’re unlikely to have any photos, and they might cancel at this early stage).

Many judges regard these "leaving site" PCNs as not proper breaches of contract and, if this went to court, imo, UKPC might struggle, as they might well be considered as an unfair term in a consumer contract.

Especially if this is brought to their attention.

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra work.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

UKPC windscreen PCN = 100% win at POPLA as long as they forget the NTK.

Please please no post asking us what to do when UKPC contact you begging to be told who the driver was and that they've put the appeal on hold. Please never again do we want to read any questions about that pathetic fishing letter/email nor have anyone thinking they have to reply...

Appeal, NOT SOONER THAN DAY 26, then WAIT for your rejection & POPLA code.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi - it's time to submit the appeal letter.

Quick question, in the template where it says:

THE NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS OF THE KEEPER (OR THE HIRER/LESSEE) GOES HERE.

Do I put my actual name and address?
