    Evil Microsoft update!

Please provide more information. Is this Windows 10, and is it the default Mail program? Try this, found by doing a quick google https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/windows-10-mail-app-how-to-reinstall/b6d02782-2131-4d28-beb4-672c6d00f397

I hope you read all the documentation about what that script does before you ran it.

Was it the Mail app you were using in Windows 10?
If so you can reload it from the Microsoft Store, search for Mail and Calendar. Be prepared to have lost all your mail though.

Please don't run Powershell scripts from the internet unless you fully understand what they're doing to do.

Most probably yes. Re-enter all your details again and cross your fingers in case there is an archive on the machine which Mail should pick back up.

If it doesn't and you have lost the lot, then take this as a valuable lesson in a) not running scripts you don't understand, and b) backups.

If you want to do stupid things on your computer like run scripts you don't understand, that's fine but be prepared for the consequences.

With regards to the contacts they were stored in the People App. Which your script purged. So you may have lost all them too.

You should be able to reload all the default apps using the details here, this should undo the bulk of what your script did:
