Euro Car park ticket - POPLA code expired

Hi,

I got a ticket by euro car park which i initially thought was invalid, and appealed it. I was then waiting for their response because i asked for evidence of where it happened. I didn't get any letters. So, on Sunday i was going through my emails, and i found their response which was sent to my email on 02/08/2019. The response letter to my appeal has a unique POPLA code too. However, the letter (attached) says i only have 28 days to appeal to POPLA, which of course i can't do because i saw the email on Sunday.

I emailed Euro car park asking them to provide me with a response (trying to act like i still haven't heard from them). They're asking me to pay £92.50, does anyone know how i could tackle this?

Ignore them. Keep all the paperwork.

Ignore all the debt collectors letters that are bound to follow.

They have up to six years to start court action against you.

If you ever receive a Letter of Claim or official court correspondence, you need yo be reading post #2 of the NEWBIES thread to find out how to deal with it.

Post again on this thread if you need further help at that time.

At time of writing, I’m not aware of any court case ever pursued by ECP. One of the few remaining court-shy PPCs.

Just read any other ECP thread.

The advice is always the same, if people miss or lose POPLA. Ignore.

Thank you so much guys, so i should keep all the letters i get from euro car park and debt collectors until they appeal to court, right?

Also will the price of this PCN increase if it goes to court?

    Thank you

Why are you asking about ECP and court in the same sentence? Please read other ECP threads to know why that's not going to happen. We don't need to go over this every time, not with ECP.

Yep, ‘in case they issue court proceedings’, it’s highly unlikely that it’s ‘until’.
Also will the price of this PCN increase if it goes to court?
The usual is around £175-£200, everything included. But it’s vanishingly unlikely that you’re ever going to face this.

You have already heard what 'us guys' think.

If still in doubt, please re-read all of the replies you have received on this thread.
They are all saying the same thing.

You have just shown us a debt collectors letter.
Post #4 of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters, but to summarise that post - ignore it.

Euro Car Parks do not currently try court. Listen to what we are saying.

Where the NEWBIES thread tells you that you can IGNORE debt letters, it means just that! Please please do not phone them or pay them!

You need to complain to the retailer, if this is a Supermarket or retail park, as that is the really easy peasy way to get it cancelled (this week, simple, one email by the retailer and they are gone).
