  • We once moved on 20th December when I was 8 and a half months pregnant   .
We had to move then as baby was due early new year and we wanted to be in and settled by then.
Luckily, lots of friends took pitty on us and helped out with the move and the unpacking and decorating......
    Smoothest move I've ever had!
  • Well the van is booked (we doing it ourselfs). Me My wife and my Sister are going to do it all. The house looks like all the wars put together.

The good thing about this move is that i alread have access to the house we are moving to, so have go loads of boxes there already.

I had the bathroom refitted last month, and the windows all done at the same time.

Well, gotta go, got more boxes to pack and bits to clean, Will give you updates next weekend hopefully.

Oh forgot to say, also got Sky TV and Broadband being installed on the 8th as well. its gonna be a mad house there i can tell.

Cheers and thanks for all your reply and support.

  • My parents have moved house twice on Boxing Day.
Once when i was 5 months old. The second time i was 10, my bro was 7 and sis was 3.
It was quite an adventure for us that christmas. a couple of weeks before christmas I remember sorting through all our toys. It was a chance to clear out anything broken or not used.

On boxing day we took all our new toys to my grandparents and played happily until the new house was set up.

Me and my brother and sister thought that 'Boxing Day' was the day you were suposed to into a new home.

My parents even put the christmas tree back up.
