                    Hi,
I understand sot quite money saving, so if there is a problem I will get this thread removed.
I am organising a somewhat surprise dinner for my mums 60th. I am asking for ideas for party bags to give to all the guests;
What chocolates do you remember from 60's/70's?
What chocolates would you like to find in a party bag to remind you?
What sweets do you remember from 60's/70's?
What sweets would you like to find in a party bag to remind you?
What toys do you remember from 60's/70's?
What toys would you like to find in a party bag to remind you?
What drinks do you remember from 60's/70's?
What drinks did you first get tipsy/drunk on first?
Any old style money saving idea's to help.
I have posted this in a 2 other places.
Many thanks for any help

            Drinks: babycham ...
 However, the thought of leaving a birthday party with a party bag with a toy in it which reminds me of my youth fills me with despair. What the blankety blank am I supposed to do with that? Sorry, but there it is. Same reaction to little doves and hearts and 'favours' at weddings ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

            I'm a year older than your mum, and back in those days if you came home from a party with a balloon as well as a piece of birthday cake (wrapped in a paper napkin) you were excited
 Pass the parcel would have forfeits every couple of layers, and the 'big prize' was usually a small bar of chocolate or something like an embroidered hanky.
 Not much help, I know, but I had a nice time remembering those very simp!e days and my uncomfortable pink party dress which had a lace panel on the front that my friend said looked like a bib I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0

            Love Hearts are still going strong. They were my favourite sweets back in the 1960s.0
