Huawei mobiles not compatable with Google Assistant!!!! "OK Google play this song, take me home, yadda"

I've been an Huawei owner for the last 8 years or so, also a massive Googleer. Especially since I no longer have to type anything and just ask Google assistant to sort it. Note Huawei phones generate an error when using Google assistant so it's now time to ditch Huawei and buy into the future

I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro about 18 months old on Android 9.

Google Assistant is working perfectly!

Nonsense, it’s working perfectly on three Huawei phones .

My P8 Lite 2017 continues to work, although it still occasionally tells me it can't perform the search.
Maybe yours stopped after installing an update or other app?

now try using Google talk to type and you'll find that all Huaweis generate a clashing error from Google quick search box.Never been fixed never will be the only solution is to disable Google assistant

Do you mean Google Voice typing? Google Talk was discontinued four years ago.

I've just tried voice typing and it works fine on Huawei.
