Cancellation and Subsequent delay 1 or 2 claims ?

Hi

Our flight was cancelled to the USA due to fly @ 11 am we were put up at hotel and received info about a replacement flight next day @ 11:30 (have boarding card for this time) . The replacement flight didn't leave until approx 17:00 (I realise compensation is based on arrival time).

Is this regarded as 2 incidents or only 1 eg cancellation and next day delay

    Hi,

It's very difficult to say from the information provided.

Were the flights with the same airline?
What were the two flight numbers?
Did everyone from the first flight get moved to the second?
Were you re-routed via a different airline and different route?
Does the airline involved fly the same route daily?
What was the reason given for the original delay?
Where did the delay occur (airport)?
Did the same flight crew fly the plane the next day?

The more information you can provide the better.
