Booking via delta am I still covered

I can get a Norwich- Amsterdam-las Vegas return cheaper booking through delta. ( it’s a delta, klm,virgin codeshare)
The ams- las leg is on a klm plane , am I right In thinking I would be covered for delay compensation even though I have booked through Delta

you would be covered on AMS-LAS delay even if it was operated by Delta...

for flights departing outside the EU to the EU, in needs to be on EU metal0
