Is it my imagination or are car lease deals getting cheaper? I came across this deal today, which whilst not fitting my needs, does seem like a lot of car for the money?

Have seen other deals recently which seem to fit the 'too good to be true'? Has something changed or am I missing a new hidden cost??

Looks about right. Fairly low yearly mileage though.

Signs of a car which isn't selling. There will be a reason for that.

Taking that first entry in the list.

    2yrs, 8k/year.
    £930 deposit + (£155/mo x 24) = £4,650 = 30p/mile plus insurance/fuel/etc to hire a 1.0 litre Golf-on-stilts, painted in the only free colour - bright blue - and which they've had lurking in the yard for a while.

That doesn't sound like bargain of the year to me.

Can you find a better car for less?

Looks like a fairly good deal to me TBH.

I doubt you could a new one, run it 2 years and sell it and loss less.

8,000 miles is probably around right for a lot of people.

Its not exactly a best seller, how many left shows less than 2000 TSI SE's registered (upto Q2 2019).

How many of those are 1L engines?

Compare that to 10,000 TSI SE Octavia's.

  • It's a very small petrol engine for a relatively large car (115bhp) ain't gunna do much...........either go for a slightly larger engine or a smaller car.
Read the motoring and reader reviews. Although Skoda is now a very good brand and the Karoq looks a decent proposition (with the right matched engine).

Than 30p/mile - assuming you do the absolute maximum of 8k/year? More if you do less? And no word on what additional miles will cost? Hell, yes. But it probably won't have the "Oooh, look, brand new plate every two years" bling factor. Woo. Always assuming these in-stock cars are indeed 69 plate, not 19 or even 68...

    Go to the "Engines" tab.
