As you bought the house the situation is you were happy with all fixtures and fittings as you had carried out all due diligence including suitable surveys.0

Is the existing tank owned or rented? If it's rented, then the existing supplier should fill it out-of-contract.
Signing up to a new contract will require it moving. Do you have somewhere that meets the regs? If so, it's fairly straightforward to get it shifted. A small concrete or paving slab pad, and a trench for the pipe. Get a supplier to rent you a tank (pennies per day), and they'll supply and install it. Then you're onto the two-year-contract-churn cycle.
We were in the exact same position when we bought here. I hired a minidigger off a local farmer for fifty quid, scraped out for a pad and dug the trench (including <ahem> "finding" the pipe from the old tank...), got a minimum-delivery of concrete "next time you're in the area", and Calor did everything else.
The main LPG heating thread is here... -> https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1003291/bulk-lpg-cheapest-suppliers-supply-route&page=166
(Why did you leave it from May until now...?)0 -
Looking at your other thread, the issue seems to be that the tank has to be a minimum of 3m from any building or boundary.
But your garden is so small, that there is nowhere in the garden where the tank could be sited that is 3m or more from any building and/or boundary.
However, this page suggests that, if you install a fire wall around the tank, it only needs to be a minimum of 1.5m from any building and/or boundary. http://www.hse.gov.uk/gas/lpg/separationdistances.htm (but I may be misreading / misunderstanding.)0 -

There is something amiss here, and you are giving us such minimal info to go on.
If flogas refuse to fill it up they will/must/definately be able to tell you more information and advise what needs to be done.
Other than saying it didn’t meet safety regs what else did they say? No company will just say it’s a safety issue and walk off without trying to help a bit.0 -
OP why did you not have a survey? This will what a small claims court will ask you and what ever you answer will not be in your favour
Warning to others who read this in the future, get your own survey and this could have been avoided.
Research what you need as FTB,"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Oh please! Just stop it!G_M not duplicate, slightly different angle after finding out more information today. I'm now looking at the possibility we have potentially been missold the house...
Mis-sold?
What due diligence did YOU do as to the state, effectiveness or safety of the tank?
It appears that you have undertaken absolutely zero due diligence on the purchase of your house and are now looking for someone else to foot the bill.
I suggest you sell the house as clearly home-ownership isn't for you.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
