Hi all.
I have a number of high value items which I was planning to sell on eBay, however, due to the anticipated high Final Value Fees I only drafted up the auctions in preparation, and then waited until the next "£1 Max Selling Fees" promotion.
So, a £1 promotion has came my way so I listed my items in my usual manner (fixed price, good till cancelled with a make offer option).
However, when I read the small print of the promo it stated:
However, there is a second clause in the restrictions and exclusions section of
If anyone knows then answer it would be most greatfully recieved!

So as a workaround to this I cancelled and re-listed the auctions as 10 day auctions with a starting price equal to the Buy It Now price, but also with a "Make Offer" option which kind of provided the same options to buyers, but within the rules of the £1 promotion.Items that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good ‘Till Cancelled function will be charged.
However, there is a second clause in the restrictions and exclusions section of
So, my question is, would an auction style listing which sells with the "Best offer" option be considered as "ended early", or is this only referring to existing auctions which someone may end early in order to immediately re-list the auctions within the promotional window?Auction-style listings ended early
If anyone knows then answer it would be most greatfully recieved!

You are over complicating things.
Your original BIN was fine and as long as it sold within the first month you would have qualifies for the £1 FVF offer, however if it had relisted at the end of the month (as all BIN listings do) then it would not have qualified.
As long as your current auctions finish, either at the end of 10 days or if you accept an offer then you qualify for the offer.
You can check this by looking in your seller dashboard offers as it will show how many times you have already used the offer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have had items automatically relist today (I accepted the £1 offer). Will they be on this offer. I’m presuming they will?
Thx in advance0 -

Not according to the t and cs which OP mentioned.

Thanks Soolin.
Apologies for the delay, had an internet free day yesterday!
What threw me was that the the T's and C's explicitly excluded "good till cancelled" listings. When I tried to list as a 30 day BIN listing the option was not there! That's why I had to find a workaround.
No idea why GTC was the only option avaialble in the BIN category, but googling it at the time showed quite a few people with the same problem.• The rich buy assets.

BIN is only available as a Good Til Cancelled now, and has been like that for some time. So that is your only choice.
The offer is stating you must sell inside that first cycle to get the FVF offer ie before the 30 days are up and it auto relists. once that happens it is not in the offerYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -

I assumed that the GTC listing was just a single listing with an indefinate ending, but from the way you describe it, it sounds like it you consider it to be an endlessly repeating, 30 day listing?
If that is indeed the way GTC works, and eBay have unconditionally excluded GTC listings from the promotion, are you sure a GTC listing would be eligible for the promotion if it sold within the first 30 days. I remain doubtful?• The rich buy assets.

they haven't. The wording is 'Listings that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good ‘Till Cancelled function during the promotional period.' As soolin has explained already. A new GTC listing is fine, it's a GTC re-list that's excluded. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

This . if by day 29 it hasnt sold, then end it. then sell similar so the clock starts againYou're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
Whilst I don't want to muddle the waters- for clarity it is worth pointing out that the relist occurs monthly- this had to be brought in to avoid 31 day months where it would have been possible for an item to be charged twice in the same fee period.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I started a listing yesterday and it is showing 30 days and 3 hrs left so looks like Ebay have a new way of calculating the month.0
