Friends have been delayed by over 6 hours on their return flight to the UK. Company says they are not entitled to compensation as they had to divert previous plane due to medical emergency and had no alternative plane to cover their flight. Should they appeal this decision?

The first thing to do would be to put the flight details into a couple of flight checkers bottonline and Euclaim and see what they say.0

This may also depend upon which airline it was and where the flight was to and from.
Some details would help:)Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Sorry it was a general question as it was a couple of years ago with Jet2 and a Greece flight."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Still put the details into the flight checkers, as long as it was in the last 6 years, 5 years if you live in Scotland.0
