  • Should i post up the signage to see if you think i have a case or is that not the way to look at it?

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP after the election, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Yes, post the signage so it can be reviewed.

Pic links added, personally i think the reference to displaying a ticket "or" being on an authorised list is unclear, as i am a registered member of the carpark that should/could mean me as my details are on a list and i am an authorized user.

Not unclear to me - If you are on a list of authorised users you are Ok to park there. BUT it does say if appropriate - what does that mean, not explained on their sign, so some ambiguity there.
  • But would the fact that i pay £600 a year and have a members card etc mean that i am a authorized user, they have my details on file? its not clear who the user list is referring to and excludes?

    I agree with that.

But the fact it has MB on the sign is the opposite of the 'flaw' we were hoping for! Anyway if you are at POPLA stage show us your draft appeal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi,

Another update, after a chat with one of the casino managers (who was very helpful) i received a message from him confirming that the fine had been cancelled. I have not had confirmation from MB, however, i presume his email would be enough should MB come back and chase me?
