Warranties on new cars

Can I just remind you how we headed down this diversion?
Perfectly aware thanks.
Pointing out that having some wear and tear items covered by the BMW extended warranty is not the reason for taking the warranty out, its for covering the risk of failure of components - some of which could be of significant cost.
If they happen to pay out for some wear and tear items, thats an added advantage.0 -
If you've got nothing better to do for a few mins have a read of the NCD protection thread. I was returning his bizarre compliment! Nothing against Mazda's btw.Could you explain the joke?Funnily, i've been pondering a small Caddy sized van to facilitate a side project i'm going to work on. I havent seen much movement yet, but in theory markets like pickups and vans are likely to be hit by the upcoming downturn.Would be interesting to hear if anyone has direct experience? Why? So you can argue with them?0 -

Well that's ok then.
Yes, there are many reasons people may chose to buy a new car. To isolate one and believe it to be the *only* reason would be wrong.0 -
This ^^^
I've had three new cars, all Mazdas, and the only warranty work I've had done is replacement of a split sunvisor.
That's because you bought a car from a brand who knows how to make reliable cars.
The OP is considering a BMW, having owned a BMW out of warranty I wouldn't want to own another without manufacture warranty.
No idea about Volvo.0
