Car problem after someone hitting me
As title says. i have a post up already regarding getting hit by another driver. so this one is to ask if my car wheel {front drivers side} was hit would it cause gearbox problems because since getting my car back from repair centre its vibrating in neutral and stiff when changing gears also a squeaking going over bumps from same side.

Would or Could?, sounds more like engine mounts or such like, however depending on the age value of the car, it could now be written off.0

Take it straight back and complain0

Gearbox damage would be more likely with a nearside impact. Is this the same Golf you posted about having clutch dmf issues pre accident. Seems more likely gearbox issues are due to the pre existing issues.0

No, it's not particularly likely in a light, glancing blow to the corner of the wing and bumper, like the one you posted about the other day.
The gearbox is the other end of the engine, basically in front of the front passenger's feet. For there to be any substantial force passed to it, you'd have had wheel, tyre and suspension damage. Can you post a pic of the damage?0 -
I would imagine the driveshaft would of had damage before the gearbox.0
