    Slightly worrying that you have a licence and don't appear to know what a mini-roundabout is!!

    Have you checked the tread on your tyres....and if so is there any left?

    Total guess, but ...

    OP came off a r'bout;
    hit oily water;
    front end started to slide;
    OP remembered about powering into a slide (even though this is the wrong context);
    OP booted it without turning into the slide and went spinning

    :D

    Of course I could be completely wrong :)

    I went into a big spin while driving round a mini-roundabout a few days ago. No damage to anything but very disconcerting. The road was a bit wet, but there was no standing water. I think I was braking, but I wasn't going excessively fast. What could have been the cause? Wafer on the road? Some oil on the road that I didn't see? A problem with the ABS? I would prefer that it didn't happen again.

    Thanks.

    You shouldn’t be braking during the turn, you should get your speed right before you start turning so that you only have to steer through it.
