Old Orleans on Skeldergate have a good menu - yummy food (I can recommend the sticky chicken:p )
Siam house (Thai) on Goodroomgate do a lunchtime 2 course special, I think it's £7.95.
Spurriergate centre is OK, we found it a bit limited, but we were rather late going for lunch. It must be good though, it's always busy!!:wave:0 -
Blue Bicycle in Walmgate, very good food but slightly off the tourist path so a little quieter. Not the cheapest but good, avoid Betty's at this time of year as it will be rammed!0

Pizza express on Lendal Bridge is good - reasonably priced and you know what to expect.
Ristorante Bari in the Shambles is a lovely italian restaurant - been going there for about 20 years and keep going back for more.
Ha Ha in New Street is good but can be packed this time of year.
Old Orleans - has it moved? I thought it was on Low Ousegate - however the food is always good there.
Oscars in Little Stonegate is reasonably priced and usually very lively0 -

You're absolutely right, Old Orleans is on Low Ousegate. I second you on Ristorante Bari, always excellent.
What I've had at the Slug & Lettuce has been good, but it's more what I'd call a posh pub than a restaurant.:wave:0
