Cancelled card = stress, running around, panic, no present on time as not ordered on time, relying on hoping to have enough cash over the weekend, extra fuel costs, putting my mum in a position, when I do receive my new card all the farting about online upset with paying bills, wasted anger and energy. Also tomorrow will be wasted and they are lucky I am off the start of the week but having to sit in for a parcel now!
You won't be getting any "compensation" for losing your own card I'm afraid.

You may get a goodwill payment for the Bank teller's incompetence, however.

You have no legal right to demand a specific figure, though, especially as you have suffered no quantifiable loss...

My advice - stop being a drama queen. If that ramble was a long story short......
  • I’d pitch for enough to get the new iPhone pro max, the version with the bigger memory, but even this can’t make up for upsetting a child, so maybe ask them to also let you off with the next couple of months credit card statements.

They’ll be making more than this every month off your family, so can well afford it.

Sorry OP, not sure what your question is I gave up reading it , as others may do I suspect.

stick to the facts about what happened ( leave out why, and where you went, and what you had for lunch etc) and repost is my advice

OP, There a whole forum on bank accounts, post in that instead of one on PPI.
And you already summarised your issue in the headline, so why post all that extraneous irrelevant stuff when the question is "I lost my card and the bank teller accidentally cancelled my husbands card instead what compensation am I due"

The moral of the story - don't buy your daughters birthday present at the last minute.

The answers there would be similar both in tone and content.

Take the £50 if they offered it and stop making this into a drama. The bank are being very generous as it is.
