Since when does it need 8Gb?
Says you can get away with 4:

Do you have your graphics driver installed or not?
If you don't know, then right-click on the Start Menu -> left click on Device Manager and then click on the right pointy arrow for Display Adaptors. What does it say in here?
Also do you have any unknown devices or anything with yellow question marks?0 -

Mines just updated to 2.5.28-1.5.16
If that makes any sense.0 -

Looks like an update to 1.5.9.00 -

Have you checked out @Neil Jones post above?0 -
We don't know which laptop he is using. It could be, because of the age of the device, that Windows 10 is utilising Vista Drivers/WDDM 1.0 or Windows 7 Drivers//WDDM 1.1, hence the reference to the AERO theme.
I'm guessing that it is this device;
Aspire 5532-203G25MN
AMD Athlon 64 processor TF-20 (1.6 GHz, 512 KB L2 cache)
3GB RAM, 120GB SDD
DVD-Super Multi DL drive
6-cell Li-ion battery
So, as aforementioned, one needs to toggle Hardware Acceleration, if possible.
In the OP's case perhaps;
Advanced Settings >
Adapter Monitor Colour Management AMD Catalyst Control Center
Open AMD Catalyst Control Center, > enable/disable acceleration
under the VIDEO tab along the left hand side by clicking that and then clicking the
option Accelerated Video Conversation
I think the OP would have noticed if the Graphics Drivers were missing.
It has a frankly, horrible CPU.
Max recommended RAM capability by ACER is 4 GB
You can attain this by swapping an existing module; https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail/?id=smem9ddh £2 or two of these; https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=smemje9gh for £4
Actual RAM capability likely 8 GB; https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=smemlap4gb200
Is it worth spending £36 on RAM for that laptop? No.0 -
That is the laptop so I will take your advice and not spend the money. The only thing I watch on Sky Go is the occasional football match bur there are other options available other than Sky.0

Taking it to 8GB wouldn't make any difference anyway. Do you check as to whether Hardware Acceleration is enabled, as suggested earlier?0 -
I suspect gpu be it integrated should need to support direct x11 or higher.
