As per the thread on laptop to TV I need to reset Sky Go onto another PC but after downloading the SkyGo app and going opnbto it an error message comes up with ' you need to run Aero to show this' It gives directions ie Control Panel .> Appearances > Personalizationj but nothing shows relevant to Aero or anything similar. Where do I go from here?

I thought Aero sounds like a Windows request not from Sky Go.
Which version of Windows is your latest laptop running , possibly Vista or similar.

Upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 but when trying to connect to Sky Go a message comes up Aero is required to run this program.

Your correct.

Windows: Windows 7 (with Aero theme enable) and above.

Enable Aero via win7, I'm using 10 cannot help.

Type regedit in RUN or Start Menu search box and press Enter. ...
In right-side pane, look for a DWORD EnableBlurBehind. ...
Close Registry Editor and restart, log off or restart Explorer as given here to take effect.

What do you mean 'but when trying to connect to Sky Go'? I use Sky Go on a Win 10 machine with no issues.

That's the only reason I can think of for the software's apparent need for Aero, because it was only ever present in Windows Vista and 7 (and apparently Server 2008).

Why do people keep advising the OP on how to solve Aero problems when they've already stated they're now using Win 10?

I have checked with Sky Go and it appears that the pc needs 8GB of RAM but mine only has 2.76 so I may need to buy some more RAM but before doing so is there anything else about the system that I should consider to ensure that iut runs correctly. The laptop was pre-installed with Windows 7 but upgraded to Windows 10 Home so do not understand why Aero should be an issue. I would have expected the pc to operate Sky Go with Windows 10.
