Benefits of receipts in a file and supermarket sale racks

This may be a bit of an obvious one but I’m really noticing the benefits of keeping receipts in a file. I’ve been following the Minimal Mom and I loved her video on office minimalism, similar to Marie Kondo’s tips I condensed my filing box to make minimal categories.
One is receipts 2019, I then separate each month out with a plastic wallet n stuck a post it note with the month inside each. I also have an A4 tray on my desk like an ‘inbox’ and I put them in there till I have a spare 5 mins to put them in my file.
So far I’ve taken back a ton of unused paint I would have kept in storage £26 and this leads me to next point, I’m not sure if it’s just Sainsbury’s that has this but every time I’ve taken back baby clothing or sleep wear (they grow super quick!) I exchange them for something that I needed sometimes the exact thing but bigger on the sale rail. Every. Single. Time
Cleanliness and organisation are so key I’m learning, as also sorted through all her baby clothes to actually see what we have, what we need, what I already bought in bigger sizes and the Ikea inserts are great for that.
Long type up but simple :j
