Puzzled how you can choose the best camera by brand rather than actual camera models with the specs you require. There maybe better options.

Checked out the thinkware one.. the reviews seem to imply I need an external gps and to buy the entire kit as several components so probably too complex

No the articles listed multiple brands but based on those I narrowed to Blackvue but then became confused with all the differences. The requirements are front rear parking monitoring the ability to hard wire in one pack

I like the features of Blackvue but the price is a bit steep.
