Lost phone do insurance make it unusable?

When a phone is lost and the insurance is informed do they wipe the phone or make it unusable if you provide the imei number?

No, if you want it blacklisted you need to advise your network.
If you want it wiped you'll need to use the Google/Apple tools to do so.====0 -
