Letter from Bw Legal re Talk Talk Debt

I've received a letter from BW Legal in relation to a debt to TalkTalk in 2011. They are threatening a CCJ. There are lots of threads in relation to BW Legal and parking fines but can't find any threads for TalkTalk debt.
I believe they have sent the letter to the wrong person as it is not my debt - what should I do?
Thanks in advance.

Were you in the property in 2011? Were you with TalkTalk in 2011?0
-
No, I have been at this property less than 2 years and I have never had anything to do with TalkTalk.0

I would first contact BW Legal and ask them to provide you with proof of the debt. They should be able to produce an unpaid invoice / statement of account for you.
You should then be able to see if it belongs to you or not and if it doesn't explain this to them by answering all their questions.
Good luck!0 -

So it won't be in your name then?0 -
I thought companies only had 6 years to chase a debt. I would tell them to jog on.1

No, if it is in relation to this property it certainly wouldn't be in my name. I was living with my parents in 2011 with no bills in my name!
Thanks for all the replies.0 -
Hi Jonathan,
Sorry for the inconvenience here - can you contact my team on Twitter @TalkTalk with the account number from the letter you've received so we can get this rectified for you ASAP?
Thanks,
Mike

Personally I would just ignore it. Probably not the best ideaThought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

BW Legal are used by the Private Parking Companies - check that board on MSE Forums and you'll see the quality of their work
But definitely don't ignore them.0 -

Was the letter addressed to you, or "The Occupier"? If addressed to another named individual you shouldn't have opened it but returned as Not Known at this address.0
