MusicMagpie stole my phone
Apologies if this is in the wrong board. I ‘sold’ my iPhone X to musicMagpie for an offer of £410. Sent it in original box with charge etc. Mint condition, no damage at all.
They received it today saying
“ We've received your order but you've included an item we don't buy in your box. It could be a CD Walkman, hair straighteners or anything else you can't sell with musicMagpie.
Unfortunately, we cannot return or pay for this item so it will be recycled responsibly as per our terms and conditions.
Any ideas on what I can do? I am waiting on email replies at the moment. The phone is still insured, depending on what the outcome of their replies are, can I make an insurance claim?
I really wish I had read the reviews of them first but haven’t heard of this problem before.
Any help or advice would be brilliant please

They said that they will recycle the item that they don't buy. They didn't say they were recycling your iPhone! So the title of your post is wrong and rather inflammatory.
If they offered you £410 for the iPhone then they have to give you an explanation of why they are sending you anything less than £410.
Wait till you hear from them as to what they are paying you.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
I’ve just checked my account to see the status and it’s says “sorry your items have failed quality this assessment please contact customer service”
There isn’t any option for me to say send back to me. Guess I will have to wait and see what they say. But they haven’t offered any payment at all0 -

You're only supposed to send the phone, not the charger and other accessories.====0 -
Odd. They were very prompt when I sold them my iPhone 6s. At the time they were offering more than other companies. Money was in my bank account within a few days as well.
Are you able to ring them?EMERGENCY FUND £1644.03 / £3000 (55% SAVED)
