Tomorrow 16th is the next day 12:15pm til 2:15pm shares and, I think, ETFs buy/sell live but not funds.
They did in the past send out a monthly email reminder but they do not do that anymore.0 -
check out https://www.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk/share-dealing-home.asp which is the discount arm of Halifax Share Service.0

Brilliant, I've never noticed this before, mainly becuase I havn't been selling for a while, I may well pop home to sell - four shares only but potential saving of £40 approx :Thttps://www.halifax.co.uk/investing/events/

It appears most people are advising the OP to use index trackers/funds. If you take the time to learn, there are shares of good businesses which can be bought. Nobody ever really got "rich" by investing in trackers. Definately not Buffet.
My returns last 3 months in shares after investing £600 is about 20%. Thats more than my funds which are sinking.0 -
Halifax used to send out an email prior to the monthly reduced commission offer, but then stopped. When I contacted them to ask why, they said it was due to GDPR, seems strange as I still receive promotional emails from other companies. Frustrating now as you have to check the website periodically!0

Not a problem - just set up a watch on the announcement page so when it changes you get an email - loads of free sites do this - just google for onebluebottle11 wrote: »Halifax used to send out an email prior to the monthly reduced commission offer, but then stopped. Buffett is one of those once in a lifetime individuals. Father being a stockbroker was a major advantage. Like Alan Sugar demonstrated entreprenurial talent from an early age.
Learning (with regards to investing) for us mere mortals is a lifetime of trial and error.0 -
Thanks for the tip Capital One, I will look into that.
As an aside, any spare cash I have each month I use to buy AVCs in my company pension, way I figure it, you are up straight away due to the tax saving.0 -
