Moto G7 data usage

I've looked at the Settings pages for Data Usage, but cannot see how to set the displayed period to that of my network provider.
Is it possible to do this?

Also, why does the phone say that the data usage displayed might be different to that given by the network provider?
I would have thought that this would be precise, with minimal difference.

Use yours phone providers app........

It is more accurate as it will be the monthly cycle from midnight on the date

On the data settings usage page tap on data warning & limit. Then tap on app data usage cycle. Then adjust the usage cycle reset date,

Unfortunately they don't all have an app.
Post no. 3 is the best alternative though.

"Data warning & limit" is disabled, so that is why I couldn't find the setting.


Is there another setting I need to change in order to enable "Data warning & limit"?

I have a G7 and checked.
Settings - Network & internet - data usage - turn on mobile data - then there's two options displayed , App data usage and data warning & limit - datawarning & limit - set data warning to on - set data limit to on - select data warning then select the desired warning - select data limit then desired limit. That does it on mine.
