Yes but no sitting on your hands.

Gather evidence to be ready for your case, e.g. signage photos, and read the Portswood thread court report from yesterday to get your head around how all Defendants with a VCS claim (and others) can argue that VCS can't claim £160.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yep, I have followed that, and have sent a Subject Access Request to the correct email, as well as another email asking them to halt the evidence and put their case on hold.
Is it now just a case of waiting until the claim, and then I will have to create a defence?
Did you cite the pre-action protocol for debt claims and state that, "whilst you deny there is any debt, you are seeking debt advice"?

Gooner - start writing your defence.
This will result ina claim, and unless youre going to pay in full, will mostly result in a hearing.
While you have a lot going on at the moemnt, if you let people legally bully you, you are letting yourself down.
  • Thank you, the thing is, I parked in a residential space, with clear signage, pretty stupidly of me, there wasn't any doubt (e.g. ticket machine not working, only over by 2 mins, etc) so not sure how much evidence I can gather. Is there any link here for advice on how to collect evidence?

And LeKerk, no I did not state that I will send another email, thank you very much

Also would like to ask one question, these letters have come pretty fast, from the first one in August. In your opinion, how long would it be until a hearing, could it be soon or in years?

    Kind regards,

You can find the Portswood thread by CEC16 on the forum easily, so no links.
