Tried that the page just flashes quickly and comes back to the same

I see then i suspect upon dropping it maybe the hard drive has become slightly dislodged or broken, you will need to locate it and check it is securely fixed.

It was only the battery that fell out
When trying to reboot the HDD makes a click

if you remove the large L sshaped cover from the underside of the laptop you will be able to check if HDD is secure.

maybe she just stuck the battery back in, have you tried a reboot, switching off and back on?
